The client and their child have been experiencing homelessness for over 12 months as a result of the ongoing housing crisis. The family has also previously experienced family violence, further contributing to their current vulnerability and housing instability.
Due to significant financial hardship and the limited availability of affordable housing, the client has been unable to secure a property within the private rental market. This has created ongoing barriers to accessing safe, stable, and secure accommodation.
In addition, rising costs of living combined with recent unexpected expenses have had a substantial impact on the family’s financial capacity. As a result, the client has experienced difficulty consistently providing nutritious and accessible meals for their child.
Any support provided to this family would have a meaningful impact on their wellbeing by helping to alleviate immediate financial pressures and ensuring the child’s basic needs are met.
