This family of three made the difficult decision to relocate to Townsville to escape domestic and family violence & rebuild their lives safely. Mum has shown incredible strength & resilience in protecting her children while trying to create stability in an unfamiliar environment.
The family arrived with very few belongings, leaving almost everything behind to prioritise their safety. Despite the emotional and financial challenges they have faced, Mum has worked hard to source smaller household essentials herself and remains determined to provide a safe and positive future for her children.
The family’s two pets have also been a significant source of comfort and emotional support for the children during this traumatic period. However, ongoing boarding costs while searching for secure accommodation have placed additional financial pressure on the family.
As they are new to Townsville, they have no family, friends, or community supports to rely on and are rebuilding from nothing.
