This older lady owns her own Kit home in a caravan park. She raised 4 kids as a single parent, working long hours to support her family. She still supports her son who receives a Centrelink disability pension.
On the night of the record 2022 flood, she had several mini strokes, and hasn't been able to work or lead a full and active life since then. She has several ongoing medical issues.
The 2022 flood came into her home causing loss of possessions, and damaging the floors, including the bathroom, where the floor is sagging and now has temporary underfloor supports.
Then with Cyclone Alfred, the blinds were torn off her house. She has not been in a financial position to replace nor make repairs since.
