Mum has escaped FDV last year and lives with her mum and 7-year-old son with disabilities. Mum talked with me this morning when she dropped off her son. He is having separation anxiety at the moment. Mum is staying at her mother's house for a while because she has not been able to get local state government housing. Sometimes she is confident to return to her previous house 50kms away but feels too isolated, which has not been helpful for her mental health. She has contacted an agency to get psychological help from trauma surrounding the birth of her sone 7 years ago and everything that has occurred since then, including the son's epilepsy and deteriorating eyesight. She has broken her foot this week and having a great deal of trouble managing life.
