This mother of two teenagers has had her world turned upside down by family and domestic violence. The trauma she has experienced has significantly reduced her earning capacity, leaving her struggling to afford even basic necessities.
Due to the financial hardship caused by the violence and its ongoing impacts, she and her children have been sleeping in her car and couch surfing for the past 12 months, unable to secure stable housing. She is working hard to rebuild her life by addressing her debts and picking up additional work whenever her health and wellbeing allow, but despite her best efforts, she is finding it extremely difficult to get ahead.
