Couple with children with special needs and complex health issues seeking financial assistance.
GIVIT
Am currently supporting a couple with four children aged:11yo, 8yo, 6yo and 6months . Two of the children have been diagnosed with disability (ASD & ADHD) and complex health issues (heart condition for the 6months old). The family had to relocate to Queensland so that the 6 months old could undergo cardiac surgery that could not be done in Western Australia.The family spent significant amount of money while in Queensland awaiting the surgery and recovery of the child before moving back to Perth which that caused the family a significant amount of financial stress.
Mum is unable to work as hse has to care for the child who is not enrolled in Daycare due to having low immunity to cope at the care and requiring regular hospital visits for monitoring progress. The other child with ASD struggles with emotional regulation requiring dad to pick him form school hence unable to maintain employment.
Family is seeking support with fuel, food voucher and medication.
