My client is a 12-year-old and is experiencing financial hardship currently with his family. He is currently a student.

The family arrived in Australia in 2024. They are from Refugee background and are receiving supports from HSP case manager for their settlement. He will start his High School next year, 2026 and requires for a laptop for his assessment and education use.
However, due to the cost of rent and saving capacity is limited, the family cannot afford to purchase one at present. However, would greatly appreciate a laptop to better support his education opportunities.
His parent is currently unemployed and a current Tafe student. They are receiving Centrelink payment (Job Seeker)
