Retired farming couple on aged pensions lost home and all contents to bushfire
2026 Victoria Bushfires
This retired farming couple lost their home and all possessions to bushfire in January 2026. They had worked hard all their lives, being 3rd generation farmers and passing the farm down to their son to continue the tradition. The couple are recipients of the aged pension. Sadly their home and possessions were lost to the bushfire and upended their retirement. They are currently living in a donated caravan/cabin on the property site while they await the government clean up program.
This couple is tough as nails and extremely grateful for every bit of support they get. Their biggest concern is their son who they are helping get the farm back on track after the fire wiped it out also. Their second biggest concern is for their neighbors whose houses and farms were also lost to fire. I would say their third biggest concern is their animals which they love so dearly.
Any assistance for this couple would help them so much, it definitely wont go to waste. These are True Blue Victorians.
