This woman has recently uprooted her life to start over, and despite her determination, she’s facing overwhelming financial hardship. Her new rent is significantly higher, and because she relies solely on the Disability Support Pension, every dollar is already stretched to its limit. On top of that, she is repaying a bond loan, leaving her with even less to live on each fortnight. She has no family or friends she can lean on, no one to help her settle in, no one to share the load. She is doing absolutely everything she can to manage on her own, but her circumstances make it incredibly difficult. Due to her disability, working isn’t an option, so she has no way to increase her income or ease the pressure. She is simply trying to survive with what little she has, doing her best to build a stable home despite the odds stacked against her.
