Single first nations aged pensioner in public housing seeking assistance to purchase a new washing machine.
Community member first nations living in public housing needing a new washing machine, as his has died. He exists on the aged pension and has a heart condition and is a diabetic and he takes medication for both. His fridge recently died but we managed to get a donation of an old second hand which hopefully will last for a bit. He is 75 yrs old, and when his daughters come and visit him from country, he would like to have washing amenities for them when they visit and also for himself as he cannot afford to go to the laundromat regularly on his pension. He comes to his local community breakfast in order to give himself a proper meal once a week and the community church helps him with dinner once a week. He is a lovely quiet gentle man who requires a little support in life and generally does not ask for anything other than a good feed. He feels happy that he is in secure housing but needs some help from time to time. He would greatly appreciate any assistance with this purchase .
