A 20-year-old young person is seeking financial assistance to purchase new, supportive footwear. He experiences complex PTSD, ADHD and ongoing mental health concerns and is also a survivor of family violence. Despite these challenges, he is currently working and hopes to pursue education to build greater stability and independence.
Following a foot injury, his movement has been restricted, and changes to the way he walks have caused his shoes to wear out more quickly. His previous shoes were worn for over four years and are no longer suitable or supportive. As he is balancing employment, education goals and living expenses, he cannot afford an appropriate replacement pair.
Funding for durable, supportive shoes would reduce discomfort, assist his recovery and mobility, and help him continue participating in employment and education. We respectfully request that his circumstances be reconsidered and financial assistance approved.
