After years of instability and unsafe living conditions, a mother and her young daughter have finally been offered secure long-term housing. This is a life-changing step toward safety and stability, but they will be starting from nothing as they move into their new home.
In recent years, they have moved between temporary and emergency accommodation, often feeling unsafe due to strained family relationships and the risks of past domestic violence. Despite these hardships, the mother has done her best to provide stability for her daughter, who is living with autism and developmental delays.
Now, with permanent housing in place, she is determined to build a safe and nurturing environment where her child can thrive. Her goals are to access NDIS support for her daughter and return to work once her child has the care she needs. Furnishings will give them comfort, security, and the foundation to begin this new chapter with dignity.
