I am seeking assistance for a father and his adult son who are experiencing significant financial hardship.
The father is the full-time carer for his adult son, who lives with paranoid schizophrenia. The family experienced a devastating loss when the children's mother passed away unexpectedly. During this difficult time, the father paid for the majority of the funeral expenses to support his daughter, leaving him in severe financial hardship.
As a result, he has fallen behind in his rent and utility payments. Prior to these circumstances, he was only just managing financially, and he has been unable to recover from the unexpected expenses.
Unfortunately, due to his own medical conditions and strict dietary requirements, donated food hampers are generally not suitable for his household. Food vouchers that would allow him to purchase appropriate items would be far more beneficial.
