Recipient is a woman in her 60s has experienced mental health crisis due to living with family who used her rent money for personal items - Notice to Leave issued and recipient needed to use all her super to ammend rental arrears and utility bills. Recipient found another rental with the family and is experiencing verbal and emotional abuse daily. A community housing opportunity has arisen, and she has been offered a property so she can escape the daily abuse but remain in catchment to continue her healthcare. Recipient is a DSP recipient and has physical and mental health diagnoses which prevent her from returning to work. Recipient does not have any savings or super, is very financially vulnerable.
