A 78-year-old person had been living in an ageing caravan at an informal bushland campsite in the Mandurah area with two adult sons, both of whom experience complex health issues, including serious back injuries, epilepsy, and mental health concerns. During this period, the family had no access to transport, placing the 78-year-old—who has significant mobility limitations and a history of hospitalisation—at serious risk and unable to reliably access medical care, medications, or basic necessities.
The family has now been successfully housed, providing a safe and stable living environment. This outcome has significantly reduced immediate health and safety risks, restored access to essential services, and improved overall wellbeing. Ongoing support will assist in maintaining housing stability and addressing continuing health and support needs.
