Following severe weather linked to the North Queensland monsoon trough and ex-tropical cyclone Koji in December 2025, this farming family has been significantly impacted by flooding and an extended power outage caused by submerged infrastructure. Floodwaters damaged essential equipment, including the property’s water pump, limiting access to water for household use, while ongoing river flooding has left the property isolated and restricted access to supplies.
Support is required to assist the household during recovery, including grocery supplies, fuel and assistance to replace or repair a water pump. This support will help restore basic services and provide stability while the family continues to recover from the impacts of flooding and prolonged isolation.
