A young mum in our community is doing her best to navigate an incredibly difficult chapter. After losing everything in the 2025 floods, she faced the challenges of pregnancy without a safe place to call home. Now, with her 14-week-old baby, she is living in a house overtaken by mould and increasingly impacted by mice, making it unsafe and distressing for both her and her newborn.
She is showing remarkable strength, but no one should have to face these conditions—especially with a new baby. We’re sharing her story to help raise awareness and encourage connection, compassion, and support within our community. Sometimes simply knowing someone cares, checks in, or helps advocate can make all the difference.
