This gentleman in his 70s lives approximately 30 minutes from town with his wife, who lives with a disability and relies on his care. Despite his age, he continues to work full-time as a station hand and remains incredibly dedicated to supporting both his household and livelihood.
Their home had never previously experienced flooding, making this event both unexpected and deeply distressing. Floodwaters impacted the entire property, causing significant damage and disruption to their daily lives. Since then, the couple have worked tirelessly to restore their home to a liveable condition, demonstrating resilience and determination in the face of adversity.
Any assistance would make a meaningful difference in helping this couple regain stability and continue living safely and independently.
