Client lives with her husband and 4 children aged between 10 and 5 years of age. Family is going through significant financial hardship and struggle securing food, with parents often having to go without to feed the children. Both parents have been trying to find a job but have unsuccessful with full time or even consistent part time work getting brief casual gigs. Mum is facing challenges finding employment that can allow her to care for her children outside of school so they are not left unsupervised. The family secure food from local community pantries but have challenges keeping the food safe so cannot fully utilize these services. The family’s property has a significant and persistent pest infestation and despite best efforts with affordability it has not decreased. The family are looking for small single door or slim pantry/wardrobes to avoid having the food they do get contaminated laying on the kitchen be contaminated on kitchen bench. The family are also requiring clothing.
