Single mum, 3 children homeless.
GIVIT
Single mother of three children (aged 14, 17 and 8) who has experienced homelessness. She has been receiving Immediate Housing Response (IHR) support and has recently been offered a property by our organisation.
Prior to entering crisis accommodation, the family was temporarily staying with a sister-in-law. They were asked to leave with no alternative housing options. When the family attempted to retrieve their household belongings, it was discovered that all essential household items had been sold without consent.
The family currently has no furniture or whitegoods and, due to financial hardship, is unable to replace these items independently. Without basic household items, the family is unable to move into their new home.
