A bright and determined 12 year old Aboriginal student dreams of succeeding at school despite facing significant challenges. He lives in a single-parent household experiencing financial hardship, alongside his two brothers and sister, one of whom has a disability and requires additional support.
Having experienced family and domestic violence and living with a learning disability, school provides him with stability, hope, and opportunity. However, he is unable to fully participate in his education because his family cannot afford the laptop that is required for his studies.
A laptop would give him equal access to learning, helping him complete assignments, build confidence, and stay connected with his education. With the right support, he can overcome barriers and achieve his full potential.
