This family of four faces significant daily challenges as the mother lives with a cognitive disability and anorexia, while both children, aged 10 and 12, are neurodivergent and require additional support. The father is the family's full-time carer and manages the majority of the household, caregiving and advocacy responsibilities. Living on benefits, the family experiences ongoing financial pressure due to their complex care needs. Despite these challenges, they demonstrate remarkable resilience, teamwork and commitment to creating a positive home environment. They are highly engaged with services, consistently attend appointments and actively seek support to improve outcomes for their family. Their gratitude, openness and willingness to work alongside support providers have been a significant strength throughout their journey.
