This single dad from a refugee background has fled extreme family violence with nothing but the clothes on their backs, leaving behind everything they owned in order to survive and stay safe. They are currently homeless and living in emergency accommodation, trying to rebuild their lives after experiencing significant trauma, instability and exposure to drug use within the home environment. He has limited english which is adding another layer of complexity.
They have witnessed frightening and unsafe situations no child should ever have to endure. The impact of this trauma affects every part of their daily lives, including their emotional wellbeing, sense of safety, sleep, learning and ability to trust others. They urgently need stability, security and support to begin healing and to have the opportunity to experience a safe and positive future.
