A mother and her two teenage boys are rebuilding their lives after leaving a domestic violence situation and relocating to be closer to cultural and social supports.
For the past 18 months the family has been living in motel and supported accommodation while working hard to create stability. During this time the boys have returned to their studies and the family has remained focused on improving their situation and building a safer future together.
Over the last six months the family has also faced significant health challenges. Both boys required surgery, with one still facing a longer recovery period. Their mother is also managing osteoarthritis while continuing to support her children and navigate the transition into permanent housing.
After a long period of instability, the family has now secured a home. This milestone represents safety, stability, and the opportunity to rebuild. Support at this time will help them settle into their new home and continue moving forward.
