Homelessness
For many years, this young woman faced the uncertainty and hardship of homelessness, navigating life without the stability and security that many of us take for granted. With no family support in Perth and her loved ones living in Melbourne, she has often had to face life's challenges on her own.
She is taking a significant step forward and has recently moved into her first permanent independent tenancy. Her journey is far from easy. She lives with both physical health challenges and mental health conditions that can make daily life difficult and at times overwhelming. Despite these barriers, she remains determined to build a positive and independent future.
Social connectedness would provide far more than physical activity. It would help improve her mental wellbeing, rebuild her confidence, and create meaningful connections with others. Being part of a team would give her a sense of belonging, friendship, and community as she continues her journey toward independence.
