Client is a refugee, been working at the same business for 15years, he is the sole provider for his family of 6 including school aged children, had a shoulder injury at work where he needed surgery, he was unfairly dismissed without notice and without any pay, he is currently not receiving any benefits, he is worried coming into the school holiday period how him and his family will survive, him and his family are at risk of becoming homeless as he is no longer able to work due to his injury so is struggling to pay rent, his wife is also unable to work due to a health condition, we suspect his work didn't want to pay work cover so they fired him unfairly, we suspect this may have an element of racial discrimination, as he has been unfairly dismissed he is no longer eligible for work cover, legal processes will take a long time to recover any money for this family
