This young Syrian client, aged 18, has endured unimaginable hardship after losing his mother in the war and experiencing severe trauma. Music was his refuge—he played the violin passionately—but when he fled for safety, he had to leave his instrument behind. Since arriving in Australia, he has been struggling with mental health challenges and, due to financial hardship, cannot afford to purchase a violin. Recently, he was supported to enroll in music lessons as part of his mental health recovery plan, but without an instrument, he cannot begin. Providing him with vouchers to purchase a violin would not only allow him to start his lessons but also help restore a sense of hope, stability, and healing through music.
