60 year old woman living with advanced lung cancer. After completing a year of immunotherapy, she was initially declared cancer-free; however, the cancer has since returned and spread to the bones in her leg, including her femur, as well as her little toe. She has undergone surgery to stabilise her femur with multiple pins, had her little toe amputated, and recently completed four weeks of radiation treatment. She continues to experience severe pain, reduced mobility, and has suffered multiple falls.
She receives the Disability Support Pension, but the financial impact of her illness has placed significant strain on her ability to meet everyday living expenses. Despite these challenges, she is determined to maintain her independence and continue spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. Any support that can be provided to help ease her financial hardship and maintain her independence would be greatly appreciated.
