Our Client was in Domestic Violence relationship where physical, psychological and emotional abuse and control were present. Her ex-partner would supply the client with drugs in order to control and abuse her. This made the client co-dependent upon him and unable to build her independence. She became homeless after discovering her pregnancy and fleeing to a new location. She has worked hard to address her drug dependance and has recently secured a private rental. However, bond and rent have left her without any funds to hire a removalist or purchase items set up her property and make it habitable. She currently has a bar fridge that she has borrowed and is sleeping on the floor as most of her belongings are in storage. She would benefit from financial assistance and removalists to help her make her home habitable.
