First nations family consisting of elderly grandmother and two grandsons are experiencing extreme hardship, disadvantage and food insecurity. Family unit are impacted by nans ongoing health issues and have been impacted by family and domestic violence. They are at risk of homelessness due to damages to the property as result of the violence and are in need of holes and windows repaired. The family also are at risk of having their gas and electricity cut off this winter due to cumulative bills exceeding $4,000. The family are also experiencing food insecurity where nan often misses meals so that the children can eat. Nan is not in the financial position to pay the bills nor the repairs needed to prevent homelessness.
