A 51-year-old Indigenous woman has shown incredible strength after escaping domestic violence, only to face further hardship. Following a serious leg injury and surgery, she endured four months homeless in a wheelchair. Now finally housed, she is slowly regaining mobility with a walker.
Her situation has become even more fragile—her daughter, who was her primary carer, has left home, her income has been cut by more than half, and she no longer receives NDIS support. She is now alone and struggling to meet even her most basic needs.
Despite everything, she continues to push forward with resilience and courage. Any support offered would make a meaningful difference in helping her regain stability and dignity.
