The young person has a significant trauma history and has been exploited by family members since she was in her early adolescence. Is currently being taken advantage of financially by her current landlord. Has limited financial resources and has been forced to use her after pay by older family members to make purchases on their behalf. Has been homeless and couch surfing for the last 2.5yrs, after her relationship with her parents fractured. This young person was subjected to emotional and physical abuse throughout their childhood. This young person has been responsible for supporting her older siblings financially over the past 2 years. Significant barriers to accessing employment and education as a result of mental and physical health concerns.
The young person reports that their current bedding has "protruding springs" and they have been cut and scratched during sleep. A new mattress, frame, and linen are all needed. Ongoing financial exploitation.
