Recipient story

Mobile Phone Needed for Aboriginal Woman Rebuilding After Family Violence
First Nations Support
Domestic & Family Violence
Our client is an Aboriginal woman who has recently experienced family violence and was required to leave her home urgently to ensure her safety. In doing so, she has lost all of her belongings, including her mobile phone.

She is currently working hard to rebuild her life and is engaging with support services; however, not having access to a phone presents significant barriers. A mobile phone is essential for her to stay in contact with services, attend appointments, communicate with family and community, manage housing and Centrelink matters, and maintain her personal safety.

We are seeking the donation of any mobile phone in good working order, with a non-cracked screen. It does not need to be new or high-end — just functional and reliable.

Access to a phone will greatly improve her safety, stability, and connection during this critical time as she re-establishes independence. Any assistance would be sincerely appreciated.
