This mum and her teenage daughters remain deeply impacted by the 2022 floods and continue to face significant instability after being displaced from their home. The family is currently living in temporary accommodation that is due to be decommissioned, and with housing still unsecured they are at ongoing risk of homelessness. Mum is managing complex trauma related to extensive domestic and family violence, alongside heightened anxiety and depression, and the loss of their washing machine has become a major source of daily stress.
