Mother is now responsible for taking care of her grandchild after the death of her daughter (grandchild’s mum). As mum/grandmother is now full-time carer, she unable to take up work opportunity and faces additional financial strain paying for food, clothing, school equipment for grandchild.
Mum/grandmother also needs to access mental health/counselling supports, which she is presently unable to pay for. Any support, financial or otherwise, would significantly reduce financial and emotional burden.
