A 65-year-old woman is currently experiencing significant financial hardship, due to a long history of mental health challenges and trauma. While living in supported housing, she was recently taken advantage of by a man from the local homeless community. This situation escalated into a serious incident of domestic violence, resulting in physical harm to her and damage to her household goods and furniture.
Following the incident, she required hospitalization for her injuries. She is now receiving ongoing support from community workers to assist with her recovery, safety, and stability.
