We are supporting a young single mum who has decided to return to TAFE to complete a certificate qualification. After fleeing domestic and family violence with her one-year-old son, she has been able to secure a small rental for her family. This has allowed her to feel safe and provide stability for herself and her son.
Now that her son is attending daycare for the first time, she has decided to use this time to study. This opportunity will increase her occupational prospects and financial stability. For this young mum it is a chance to build the future she has always hoped for and will empower her to maintain her tenancy and provide for her son without fear of further violence or financial hardship.
