A remarkable young woman with a significant trauma history is currently facing immense challenges. Her former partner is incarcerated and awaiting trial for multiple charges related to DV and abuse. She is the sole carer for her two children, both have disabilities and complex needs, as well as her nephew who also requires high-level care. Despite her circumstances, she receives minimal support and is struggling to navigate the NDIS system. Requires assistive tech for her childrens safety, not covered by NDIS. Her informal support network is very limited. Her eldest child attends school but, due to behavioural and sensory challenges, is often only able to stay for short periods, sometimes as little as 15 minutes before she is called to collect him. She is required to travel to many appointments and uses a lot of fuel. These appointments are critical for her eldest child, who will require lifelong care. Wishes to return to study her Diploma in Community Services, needs laptop etc.
