Our client is a single mother of two daughters who has been in flood recovery for the past four years and also experienced ongoing DV. She is managing significant mental health challenges for herself and her teenage daughter. Her daughter, who has experienced severe depression and school disengagement, has recently been accepted into a specialised mental health school. The client must drive a 60-minute round trip twice daily and cannot afford the additional fuel costs. School transport has been applied for but may take up to a month to commence. We are requesting petrol assistance to enable the client to continue transporting her daughter to school during this period and support her ongoing engagement in education and mental health recovery.
