2026 Victoria Bushfires
The Markwood Bushfire occurred in December 2025, quickly impacting the close-knit community of Henley Ridge. The residents' home was one of the properties destroyed by this rapidly moving fire.
Retired and surviving on a pension, the resident is having to rebuild her life.
They have been lucky to source nearby rental accommodation, but a long road lies ahead for this resident to recover, and function day to day.
