Hi There,
I am assisting a young Indigenous male who is leaving state care and moving into his own home. He needs support with all aspects of setting up a household, including clothing and food.
This young man has been in State Care since he was four years old, after losing both of his parents to accidental drug overdoses. Throughout his life, he has faced immense challenges, including the impacts of mental illness and domestic violence. Despite this, he remains incredibly strong and determined, using his hardships as motivation to succeed where his parents struggled.
He is excelling in his studies and dreams of becoming a fully qualified social worker so he can support others facing similar challenges.
