Young mum to a 9wo, currently experiencing significant mental health concerns, which recently required admission to a Mother and Baby Unit.
She has a significant trauma history across her life, which continues to impact her mental health, emotional regulation, and overall functioning. This, alongside her current mental health challenges, places her at increased vulnerability during the postnatal period.
She has no informal or natural supports, including limited family or social connections to assist with parenting or emotional wellbeing.
She resides with her partner; however, the relationship presents additional stressors. Her partner is experiencing ongoing gambling issues and is not willing to engage in support services at this time. His gambling behaviour is having a significant negative financial impact on the household, contributing to instability and stress within the family environment.
This mum could really use some practical support to cover basic needs.
