The parent of two teenagers lost all they owned to the January 2026 Longwood bushfires.
They are now temporarily couch surfing while trying to remain as close as possible to the farming property where work is situated and to the school the kids attend.
All furniture, clothing, appliances, kitchen items, and personal items were destroyed in the fire, they walked away with only their lives.
They continue to suffer trauma from their experience but support each other on their road to recovery.
