The Centre for Women & Co is supporting a mother of five children who are recovering from significant Domestic and Family Violence. Following ongoing experiences of abuse, the person using violence caused extensive property damage within the family home. While the family is no longer living with the immediate threat of violence, they are continuing to navigate the emotional, financial, and practical impacts of their experiences while working towards healing and rebuilding stability. Despite these challenges, the mother has remained focused on supporting her children's wellbeing and education. Unfortunately, the family's financial circumstances have made it difficult to replace essential items that were damaged during the violence. One of the children, had their school laptop destroyed and has been unable to participate in learning activities that require access to technology. Access to a laptop or tablet, will support their education and help to engage in schooling.
