We are supporting a 14-year-old who has been involved with the Youth Justice since she was 12. She has experienced much trauma in her life, unstable accommodation, and being a victim-survivor of FDV. Despite these challenges, she has recently expressed a desire to turn her life around and is motivated to return to school. She identified getting her phone fixed as an important step towards achieving this goal. This is the first time she has engaged with Youth Justice and actively reached out for help.

She relies on her phone to stay connected with her school and feel more confident in returning to education. Having a working phone is important for her safety, given her unstable living arrangements, to stay connected with her family and her support people, or if she needs help. Not having a working phone is a barrier at this crucial time when she is motivated to re-engage. Assistance with the repair would help her feel more prepared and supported towards a more positive future
