the client is a young Aboriginal mother who is single and needing support. She recently gave birth to twins at 23 weeks gestation and they are in the NICU and doing as well as can be expected. The twins will be in the NICU for quite some time however mum is doing her best to be up there as much as possible and breastfeeding when up at the NICU. The client is a single mother after leaving the father of the babies due to domestic violence. The client is currently living at out of home care as she was removed form her parents care when she was younger. She has a lot of financial hardship as she is not eligible for payments due to the babies being in the hospital and not residing with her.
