This wonderful Northern Rivers woman and passionate gardener has survived 4 flooding events in the past 10 years. Currently in the final stages of retrofitting her home, she has been advised the large hoop pine in her yard has rotten at the base due to repeated water inundation.
The Arborist assessment found there is high risk of the tree falling on her beautiful little home and it must be removed immediately.
This will involve hiring cranes, council approved road closure, traffic control hire and a qualified Arborist to remove. This has come as a huge shock, as she felt she was finally back on track after years of flood recovery made even more challenging with her disabilities, age and limited income.
Any assistance with the costs to remove the tree will make a huge difference for this resilient, vivacious woman, who has faced so many challenges but continues to live a life filled with optimism, doing her gardening, raising chickens and supporting her local community.
