The boys lost their father to suicide in 2022 and the mother has been doing her best to provide for herself and her children with little support and whilst going through her own grief and loss. Unfortunately, the mother and three boys have experienced significant family and domestic violence from 2023 and have had to relocate several times for their own safety, on top of additional traumatic events including a house fire and loss of stable housing after their rental property was sold earlier this year. The boys and their mum have been trying to find another rental property whilst managing the ongoing impacts of grief, trauma, and FDV, and have had to couch-surf with friends and reside in unsafe housing just to get by. The 17-year-old boy does his best to support his mum and looks after his younger brothers, with his main focus being their safety and wellbeing.
