Mother with drug resistant chronic myeloid leukamia seeking financial aid

Client is a 40-year-old mother who was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukaemia on 29 August 2024. While this type of leukaemia is often managed with daily medication, her cancer has been drug-resistant.
Over the past 15 months, her treating team trialled and exhausted four different medication options. As a result, the only remaining treatment pathway was a stem cell transplant which she underwent in Dec 2025,
The client lives with her partner and their three children. She is currently unable to work due to ongoing treatment and recovery, resulting in increased financial strain for the household due to a reduction in household income.
