Need for Swag Donations – Rural East Gippsland We are urgently seeking donations of swags to support individuals in rural East Gippsland who are experiencing homelessness or severe housing instability. Due to a critical shortage of affordable housing and limited crisis accommodation options in the region, some community members are left with no choice but to sleep rough, in vehicles, or in temporary outdoor settings. Geographic isolation and limited service availability further restrict access to timely support. Swags provide a practical, immediate solution for people without safe shelter, offering protection from the elements, warmth, and a safer way to rest. For those living rough, a swag can make a significant difference to physical health, safety, and overall wellbeing. Demand for these items continues to exceed what local services can supply, and there are few funding streams available to purchase them quickly when needed. Donations allow us to respond promptly to people in crisis and provide a basic level of comfort and dignity during extremely challenging circumstances. Swags will be distributed directly to individuals with no fixed address or those in emergency situations where no other accommodation is available. Your support will make a meaningful, immediate difference for people doing it toughest in our community.
